Quilted Mahogany Wise
As I mentioned in the "Beat That" summary page, this model is my interpretation of a slope shouldered dreadnaught. This Quilted Mahogany Wise has a few more options than a normal Wise Model.
It had a beautiful set of quilted mahogany.
The top has an Abalone rosette, the peghead has a handcut Abalone logo, and the side dots are Abalone.
The body has been bound with curly maple. Both the fingerboard and peghead are bound with single white purfling line in addition to the curly maple. I also added ebony binding on top of the curly maple on the fingerboard.
In addition it has a curly maple "butt wedge".
The fingerboard has no inlay, so as to not detract from the rest of the guitar.
The sunburst finish on the top is light and subtle and complements the quilted mahogany body.
I finished off this instrument by adding ivory nut and ivory saddle.
